Girls and women of India are treated as weaker people, who need security to be protected. Society makes them realize that they are nothing without a man- No status, No support, No identity and there is even no reason to live. Women and girls who compare themselves to these ideals and stereotypes suffer from anxieties about their appearance, feeling of shame, eating disorders, low self-esteem and depression.
